Maria Tamames

Textile Researcher and Educator at ESNE University School of Design, Innovation and
Technology based in Madrid, Spain. She is currently working as Phd student and
textile consultant in circular and sustainable fashion design.
Graduated in Fashion Design and Master in Textile Engineering from the Polytechnic
University of Valencia and the AITEX Textile Technological Institute; her work in the
field of textile design articulates sustainable fashion practices within the context of
contemporary culture, investigating ways of confluence between sustainability,
circularity, traceability and transparency. She understands the challenge we must
acknowledge in this journey towards a circular fashion system.
Always seeking to broaden the configuration of new codes encourages holistic and
disruptive reshaping of current models based on determining factors, such as
cooperation, collaboration, empathy, conviviality, interdependence, tolerance,
accessibility.
